How does Reiki
work?
Energy is transmitted thru the practitioner's hands and helps to
clear and balance the energy in ones auric field. A sensitive practitioner
will feel areas in ones energy field that are cold, hot, heavy,
stagnant, and will use her energy and healing symbols to clear and
balance the auric field. Some practitioners also see the energy
and imbalances. The power of Reiki is affected by the practitioner's
intent for healing and the client’s openness and intent for
healing.

How does a session
feel?
There is less physical awareness, for most people, with Reiki versus
the other therapies such as Reflexology, CranioSacral and Myofascial
work. Reiki is done mostly off of the body but those who are aware
of subtle energies will experience shifts in their energetic flow.
Most people will tend to feel a deep state of relaxation and sense
of balance and wholeness having been restored.

Who benefits
from a Reiki session?
Everyone is affected by the environment and by each other. We are
bombarded by the electromagnetic fields of computers, TV’s,
microwaves, cell phones, and fluorescent lights. These negatively
affect our energy fields. We are also affected by those around us
– the thoughts, feelings and emotions others emit are taken
into our energy fields and into our bodies, possibly causing disharmony.

Should I tell
my doctor I am receiving Reiki?
As stated previously, it is always a good practice to keep your
doctor informed. As Reiki works thru your energy field and the physical
body is not manipulated in any manner, there may not be a need for
correspondence with your physician.

Self-helpful Tip
Connect with your body through your breath, following your breath
through each body part gently and slowly. As you are floating through
your body on your breath, FEEL the areas of tension, pain and disease.
Continue the deep breathing and place your hands over these areas.
Breathe Love and Peace into the ailing areas while giving the body
permission to release the disease through exhalation.
